Rotating Car Charger-Holder for iPhone 5 5S with Magnets

While most apps for iPhone are ok vertically, some apps are better used horizontally. Dashboard apps and most navigation apps can be named as examples. The holder can be rotated into vertical or horizontal position and is held by small neodmium magnets. I tried to design the item with many different types of springs to achieve the holder to rotate and click in place. But the rotation was never smooth enough for my taste. The neodmium magnets work like a charm. Instructions Note: This is a modified version of the holder I origiI made for iPhone 4/4S. the instructions and some of the photos are for the older version. But applies to this item 100% aswell. Consists of: 2x printed parts 8x 5mm x 5mm cylindrical neodmium magnets 1x bearing 19mm outer diameter-10mm inner diameter-5mm thickness (I figured with a bearing, the holder would rotate more smoothly, but it is not really necessary. you can reduce the diameterof the cavity behing the holder to 10,2mm and exclude the bearing.) 1x M2 screw 1x M2 nut with plastic locker 1x iphone USB cable As you can see in the pictures, assembly is easy. So no instructions necessary. Just a few notes: Be carefull with the polarity of the magnets when inserting them. the ones on the bracket and the ones on the holder should be inserted with opposite poles facing each other. If you insert them wrong, it may be difficult to pull them out back. If this happens, leave the part on the hot bed of your printer for 15-20 minutes to allow the plastic to expand and try pulling them with another magnet again. It is ok, if the magnets are loose in the holes, because the screw will be holding the two parts together. Magnets' job is to keep the rotary position, not to hold the pieces together. The phone is held loose in the holder. Actually it is held by the charging connector. I made it loose, to prevent the phone from getting scratched with extended use. As the printed plastic expands under the hot summer sun, the charging connector may become lose and come with your phome when you pull it out.a drop of superglue applied through the gap on the rear of the holder will solve this issue.
