This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/2AxUiIkm5tG

I used filament as connecting pins for the claws, and used thin aluminum wire for the cabling - nilon string would work just as well.

I've included a variation of the boom connecting pulley rig that is simpler, if you do not want to do the full wiring - you can skip the back wiring pulley rig as well then.

I've sorted the the parts spacially for variations.

I recommend using supports to print the claw if needed

I used elastic black sewing thread for the wires, and Floral metal for the quick change hooks (basically two hooks with a v in between).

You shouldnot need to glue any parts, they fit tight, the real pulies snap in and out to change places during transformation.

I usedthe Craggle to hold wires on the pullies at the top support and at the middle next to the winches, but left them loose on the top of the mast, so they can slide.

i've used crazy glue again at the ends of all threads to keep from fraying, and to encourage the loops hanging from the mast to form a loop eye so i can use the metal quick change hooks - if you have chosen the parts with the built in hooks, you will need them a bit larger than what i have done here.

I've also included the load lifting hook attachment.
Category: 3D Printing
