Rough Balewind Vortex Proxy of GW's Endless Spell, with some significant Aztec Lizard themes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This file was a remix of several items: Tornado with Permission from Tinyclone: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4017092 Base altered from Axquirix's Star totem: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3389099 Aztec Topper from Sneezembop: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3160599 Lizardmen Shields from Ilhadiel: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4186125 Snake Totem from my personal files for a StarPriest Proxy: (coming soonish?) --------------------------------------------------------------- Topper: 1) Thickened in Meshmixer using Make Solid and offset features 2) Took into Blender and redefine the stencil using sculpting tools 3) Meshmixer using multiple plane-cuts to remove center Aztec features (I was unable to salvage them after the offset). 4) Plane cuts were also used to increase the depth of the sculpted stencil lines deleting portions of height and using the transform tool to get back the desired thickness 5) Used base as described below to help bring texture back to the center of the medallion 6) Realize that the topper and the tornado have different rotation directions, using Cura, mirrored it to match the rotation direction. --------------------------------------------- Main Body: 1) Admire Tinyclone's work, get inspiration from their product available (great for some tabletop RPG spell effects) seen here:https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-tornado-4-variants-fits-a-mini-inside-105761 2) Ask permission to post work using original files 3) Chop the top portion of the free version, place it towards the bottom using Meshmixer. This was to ensure a flat top for the topper to be placed. 4) Realized that original file loses texture at scale need for Balewind Vortex, duplicate resize, and reposition copies of the previous top cut off in the middle of the tornado ( Blender ) 5) Be jealous of Tinyclones great work and decide to include debris such as snake totems and lizardmen shields (blender) --------------------------------------------- Base: Base matches roughly GW's official base size. It uses an irregular shape with some stone protruding out. From Reddit, it is between 90 and 110mm. I split the difference and sized the base to 100mm. Made from: Stardream Saurians Totemic Dial" by Axquirix Cut tops and bottom off of Axquirix, and scaled it to fit the base size. ---------------------------------------------
