How to Personalize Thingiverse's Round Case Model Watch this video for step-by-step instructions: https://youtu.be/ICV2jl3TRLE Download the Round Case Parametric v1.f3d file from Thingiverse and open it in Fusion 360. By default, Section Analysis is enabled, allowing you to view two section components: R_Cap and R_Body. This design includes six adjustable parameters. To customize the model, open Modify > Change Parameters. In this table, you can easily modify dimensions to suit your needs. Of these six options, changing only Case_Outer_Diameter, Cap_Height, and Body_Height usually produces the desired results. However, in special cases, you may need to adjust Wall_Thickness, Coil_Section_Diameter, or Tolerance. As you modify dimensions, they will update instantly in the design. Be cautious not to let the top of the coil protrude beyond the neck of the body; if so, increase Cap_Height accordingly. Once you're satisfied with your custom design, click OK and close the table. To create STL files for 3D printing, right-click on R_cap and R_body in the browser and select Save As STL from the drop-down menu. Choose High Refinement to ensure precise results. Click OK to save the STL file to a designated location. Your personalized Round Case is now ready for printing on your 3D Printer!
