Royal George and Sans Pareil steam engines, built by Timothy Hackworth of Shildon for the Stockton and Darlington Railway and also the Rainhill Trials, The Royal George was built in 1827 and was one of the most successful steam locos for the S&D Railway. The Sans Pareil was built in 1829 to take part in the Rainhill Trials between Liverpool and Manchester.
