Rubber Band Gun Business Card

Rubber Band Gun Business Card

I was planning on going to a networking session here in KC last week, but then I realized I've got some pretty lousy business cards. I figured I would try and make an awesome functional business card in time for the event that would make a good first impression. I came up with this 3.5"x2" card that snaps apart and forms a very functional rubber band gun! Video of the card in action here:http://youtu.be/InnUcXhVeN0 Instructions Cut out of 0.06" thick Delrin or acetal. If you add your own vector etching, I've found that you can add color to your etching by saturating the etching with a dry erase marker and wiping off the excess. As for the actual assembly and opperation of the cards, follow the handy instruction sheet! I'm going to make up some regular business cards with the instructions printed on them to destribute with the cards as well. Currently it uses #10 or smaller rubber bands, which are a little hard to come by locally, but there's plenty of places to get them online, including McMaster if you're ordering plastic for these. Also, feel free to contact me if you want some custom ones made at craig@built-to-spec.com! Update: Get your own here: http://builttospecstore.storenvy.com/products/330223-rubber-band-business-card Another Update: I've uploaded a "rev b" version with a much better spring mechanism and easier to insert clips.
