Rubber Band (Spring) Loaded Coin Holder/Carrier/Organizer

Rubber Band (Spring) Loaded Coin Holder/Carrier/Organizer

thingiverse

It holds the standard US coins: Quarters, Dimes, Nickels, Pennies. It is spring loaded for easy and precise removal and fits nicely in a cup holder such as in a car. That's where I use mine and I love it. Print is very simple. If you don't have rubber (which everyone should If they can afford a 3D Printer) then you can print the holder (and if you want the lid too) and use it as a standard coin organizer If anyone has any ideas on how to improve the design I would love to hear them and hopefully integrate them so let me know. Instructions Print the base and the lid however you want (whatever colors/settings). If you want the spring loaded version: Once printed, I would use a higher quality print for the sliders. The quarters need a special slider but the rest of the coins use the penny slider. The sliders have little hooks to hold the rubber bands and will slide into place. Attach the rubber band to the bottom bar (by looping the rubber band through itself) and loop it around the bar on the lid. Then Loop the rubber band through the hook on each slider and you should be ready to press coins into place. The Lid turns and has an open and closed position (I didn't find this necessary but its cool) My description may need some clarification so feel free to comment if you have any questions and I will do my best to help.
