Rubber Band Toy Tractor

Rubber Band Toy Tractor

thingiverse

This is the 3D-printed version of a toy we used to make as kids from sewing thread spools, matches, rubber band (cut from bicycle tube) and flat washers made of soap or wax (candle stumps). A really nice thing to make with your kids or simply get on a trip down memory lane :) INSTRUCTIONS: Insert the rubber band into the spool hole and fix it with the clip when it comes out on the other end to inhibit the rotation. Put the loose end of the rubber band through the wax/soap washer and insert the printed stick or a match. Twist the rubber band by rotating the long end of the match with your finger. Place the toy on a flat surface. The match will rotate until it touches the surface and then the toy will slowly move forward. You can place small obstacles for the toy to get over them. From time to time you will have to replace the washer as it wears out or breaks due to too much twisting the rubber band. How I Designed This
