These are updated tokens for Rubicon’s Oscar Mike Vietnam War skirmish wargame, replacing the tokens previously made available on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5423374/files. To find out more about the game, see the Rubicon Oscar Mike Facebook group here (free to join): https://www.facebook.com/groups/thevietnamwarrules They include: • Command, Stress and Wait Tokens – these tokens all use the same .stl, but would need to be printed in different colours for each, (with a different colour for each player’s Command tokens). 12 Command tokens and 8 each of Stress and Wait, per player should be ample. Suitable insert icons to stick into the centre of the tokens are supplied on the ‘Inserts’ pdf. • Hidden Action / Status tokens – these are for Observe, Take Cover, Withdraw, Bluff, Regroup, Blind Fire, Assault, Auxiliary Fire and Ambush Hidden Actions, but all use the same .stl. It is suggested that a set, per player, be printed in the same colour as the player’s Command tokens, for easy identification. 48 tokens (8 tokens each of Observe, Take Cover & Withdraw plus 4 tokens each of all others) should be sufficient, per player, for a Tier 1 (ie 1 squad per player) game. (Extra Observe, Take Cover & Withdraw tokens are required as they are also used as Status markers for Teams). Suitable insert icons to stick into the centre of the tokens are supplied on the pdf. • Morale Status Tokens – Pinned, Rattled and Dispersed tokens. It is a good idea if each of these are printed in a different colour for easy identification. 4 of each, per player, should be sufficient. • Move templates – Sneak, Walk, Run and Sprint templates. 1 set of templates is sufficient, but a set per player speeds play and printing in different colours helps quick and easy identification. The Sneak is a straightforward template, with a centre ‘handle’ to make use easier. The Walk template is articulated and used folded for a Sneak (2”) movement or extended for a Walk (4”) movement. Assembly should be relatively obvious from the picture. The Run template is a straightforward template, with a centre ‘handle’ to make use easier. The Sprint template is glued together as a slider to allow move measurement from 7”-12”. Be careful not to glue the movement template elements together when gluing in the nubs that hold the 2 sections together. This template is not strictly necessary as 2 Run templates can be used, but it helps make Sprint movement easier. • Area Terrain Density templates – Sparse, Light, Medium and Dense Area Terrain gauges. 1 set of templates is sufficient, but a set per player speeds play and printing in different colours helps quick and easy identification. A handle to be glued to the top of each to make use easier is included. • Area Templates – this includes a 1” radius reticules template as well as a large 3” radius ‘Blast’ template, which includes also has a 1” radius ‘Reticule’ template in its centre. As above, 1 template is sufficient, but one per player speeds play. It also includes a template that helps indicate 300, 450 and 60 angles, useful when attempting to determine angles of fire through windows, doors and restricted spaces – not totally necessary, but occasionally useful. All of these were printed in PLA at 0.1 Resolution with an infill of 10%+ and did not require any support or rafts.
