Rude decision maker

I wanted to make this more like a fidget spinner, and decision-maker, and it was much harder than I had imagined because I wanted the top to stay still while the back spun… How would you hold it… How could you design it to print without supports but at the same time require no external hardware (screws, glue etc) Well, this is how I did it. It's not perfect, but I'm ok with it :)

I ordered some 8mm magnets from Amazon, but they are really weak, so you need to double up and put 2 in each hole, hence the 8x2 model. This seems to give the perfect amount of spinney, clacky goodness. If you get decent magnets, you may only need 1.

There are also 10x2mm versions available as this is a much more popular size.

When printing the lid, you'll need to add a colour change at 0.8mm and a pause to insert magnets at 4.8mm. When printing the base, do the colour change at 4.8mm and insert the magnets there as well.

Here is a video of it in action for full clacky value:

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/YhRHrkX91vo"></oembed>
