Hello, Yet another singing prop for 12mm RGB pixels. This time a Reindeer! It is built such that there is a 2mm wide border along the edges of the pieces to a hight of 10mm and the thickness of each piece 6mm. The pieces are quite strong at 6mm. Each part is labeled with an identifier on the front face that is recessed 2mm into the part. Rudy is about 62" tall and 53" wide. This is quite large! I believe it will remain intact with proper mounting. I typically "hang" my printed faces from EMT and secure them at various points zip tied to rebar or pipe behind the prop. They have held up nicely this way. All the parts will fit on an Ender 5 pro bed. The Rudy holds 262 pixels. There is a total of 59 parts that need to be printed to complete the prop. Printer: I have been printing in PLA+. My other printed faces did very well in below zero weather. I use CURA (v4.80) as my slicer. I set the "Horizontal Expansion" setting to -0.19mm (or -0.21mm). This allows for a snug fit for the joints. I have included two test pieces so you can dial in your printer. These are not attached to the prop. I do not intend on printing this prop. I have fun making them and sharing with others. After many years of Christmas lights, this is my way to give back to a community that has helped me along the way. Please provide feedback if things aren't correct. I will try to fix it promptly. Thank you for looking at or even attempting to print this. I would be interested in any feedback. I have included a custom model Xlights file for this as well. It has been tested and should work with the faces and submodels provided. I have already made plans to change the eyes out to more oval in the vertical dimention and smaller in size. I plan to make it so they can be swapped out so that only the eyes need to be printed. Enjoy.
