This is a tool to tension and time a Ruger 10/22 magazine hex nut when reassembling after maintenance. I added a viewing port to the Ver.4 which also server as a spring timing reference during tensioning. I increased the OD 1 mm to strengthen after removing one wrench facet. I use the tool putting the assembled magazine in the palm of my hand and wrapping that hands fingers around the magazine to hold the tool at the desired alignment, I'm then able to push a dowel through the tool with my free hand to seat the nut.
