One seed piece and eight tile pieces form a pseudo-random pattern. This is a physical implementation of the Rule 30 Elementary Cellular Automaton discovered by Stephen Wolfram and used in Mathematica as a pseudo-random number generator. This puzzle demonstrates the random and arbitrary nature of mathematics. Instructions Print one copy of big-bang-v2.stl as many copies as you want of rule-30-cells-v2.stl Starting with the "big bang" piece, complete a row at a time so that all inward pointing arrows are filled and the only free outward pointing arrows point downward into the next row. Keep printing copies of rule-30-cells.stl and extending the puzzle. This is your life now.
