Rutan VariEze is one of the most popular of the home-built designs. This aircraft is a sporty modern design using composites, wood, metal and Fiberglas construction. It has a light weight and higher aspect ratio allowing for good climb and glide characteristics. It is fast and is generally faster than most other manufactured aircraft.
