RV Shower Door Travel Latch Lock

RV Shower Door Travel Latch Lock

I have a 2019 Wildwood Forest River travel trailer with sliding bathroom shower doors. While traveling there is a rubber latch that keeps the shower doors closed so they don't bang around and possibly break or lose the contents of the shower. After only three months of usage the rubber that folds over the shower door handle had cracked and eventually broke. This part is covered under warranty BUT it's the same cheap rubber and will break again and again forever until the end of time. I considered buying like 10 of them and just swapping them out as needed but at $10 a pop I didn't feel that it was worth the investment so I set out to create my own. This is a very very simple model. I have the stl which is solid and ready to print as well as the source 123dx file for anyone that wants or needs to tweak the hole sizes or spacing between them. I printed on an M3D micro. I had to turn it on it's z axis at an angle for it to fit properly (screenshot attached for anyone else using a small print bed). Also be sure NOT to use a skirt or raft. In these photos it is a print that used the M3D clear flexible tough ink. I like this best but it also works very well with cheap amazon 5lb spool charcoal grey. You just lose a little flexibility. At only 2mm thick it is still very pliable regardless of what filament you use.
