<p>As of 10/27/2022 all files are revision 2 for greater strength and compatibility with more 40v tools.</p><p>This printable adapter allows for the use of two Ryobi 18v batteries in place of a 40v battery. &nbsp;Always start with two 18v batteries that are at the same level of charge. &nbsp;The BMS of either 18v battery will still protect against the low-voltage threshold and cut power to the tool.</p><p>Assemble by printing…<br><br>Qty. 1 of Ryobi 18v dual holder<br>Qty. 1 of Ryobi 18v dual holder to 40v plate<br>Qty. 2 of Ryobi 18v dual holder battery clip glue-in (so you end up with 4 pieces)<br>Qty. 1 of Ryobi 18v &nbsp;dual holder to 40v plate insert glue-in<br><br>Insert Qty.4 of <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08ZXSJN3H">M4*6*6 Knurled nut threaded insert</a> (in the Ryobi 18v dual holder)</p><p>Insert Qty.4 of <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VTPWM6M">Keystone 209. 1 Cell Leaf Spring Battery Contact, Spring Steel, Nickel Plating</a> (with wires soldered on, in the Ryobi 18v dual holder)</p><p>Insert Qty.4 of M4*8mm Cap head screw (in the Ryobi 18v dual holder to 40v plate) Screws must be this exact size (8mm from under head to end of threads)</p><p>Wire so that batteries are in series using a MINIMUM of 14 AWG wire<br><br>Pass wires through the hole between the dual holder and the 40v plate, finally cut wires to length and crimp on Qty.2 of spade connector, then push into the 40v plate</p><p>Glue in Qty.4 of Ryobi 18v dual holder battery clip glue-in (over the leaf spring contacts you inserted in the Ryobi 18v dual holder)</p><p>Glue in Qty.1 of Ryobi 18v dual holder to 40v plate insert glue-in (over the wire channel in the 40v plate)</p><p>The BMS built into all Ryobi 18v batteries will still provide a safe low voltage cut-off when the batteries are used in series to power a 40v tool.</p><p>This adapter has been tested in the following Ryobi 40v tools...
