When the Ryobi rotary tool is mounted the battery port is exposed to possible dirt and debris in a garage or worshop unless a battery is kept in the port. This allows you to not only plug the port and protect it but also provides for a container for bits. It comes in three parts and must be glued together. No supports are needed. For the stem that goes into the port, place that stem in the port, add glue (glue gun works) and then place the bottom half on top. In this way you will have perfect placement.
