Well, tried uploading files last nite with no luck (thanks dassault for the alert). I'm pretty new to this site and this is my first upload so bear with me. Not sure what best practice is for uploading, but all files other than screenshot are contained in a zip file. Any helpful comments? My design is kept pretty simple with a 90 degree open/close mechanism. The turning vent ring is held in slight tension with a flat disc spring/washer combo which in turn is held in place by the knob. The cover is designed to dissipate any large amounts of water. There is an inner ring and ribs inside to force water down and away from the vent opening. Contained in the zip file is a drawing file along with a pdf version which further details the design. I'm impressed (and humbled) with other entries I've seen and have no high hopes of winning this contest but it has been so much fun and very challenging.
