Sacred Fish Wheel

Sacred Fish Wheel

grabcad

The following project is a large custom commercial fishing vessel (historically known as a “Fish Wheel”) used for catching salmon and other fresh-water fish on major rivers (24/7 using the river current to rotate the wheel). This one was designed for the Yukon River in Alaska. The automatic motion of the wheel could be used to generate "free" electricity through the central hub/axis. This could trickle-feed a deep-cell marine battery bank, providing power for L.E.D. lighting, communications, fish-finders, etc. Any undersized or endangered species caught can be returned to the river alive via a separate chute on the conveying table. The “wheel” assembly can be raised and lowered to the appropriate water-depth level when fishing and locked in a raised position for relocating, maintenance, storage, etc. The CAD files (solid modeling) are now being offered for sale to the highest bidder ($500 minimum). The drawings are my proprietary digital files exclusively drawn by me, using my software on my personal computer. I have another design (when I have time) that is more advanced (still simple and elegant), more efficient pontoons, and a more efficient wheel that is gentler with the fish for higher quality. The current CAD file is the initial "representational" or concept design and does not have complex components such as motors, gears, or other simple mechanisms used to adjust the wheel. You can take it as-is or pay me to add features you want. I would "guestimate" that a commercial fishing vessel like this would easily cost $200,000+ to build, with its present equipment and features. I am open to reasonable bids compensating me for my time and skills only. I will provide the highest bidder with the fully-rendered 3D solid CAD model (with materials specified), ready for use in any manufacturing software like SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Bentley, Pro-E, etc. The overall dimensions are roughly 34 foot wide x 70 foot long. The wheel has a 20 foot diameter x 20 foot wide. Custom design changes are definitely an option. Please contact me for any relevant questions and/or offers. Any native/aboriginal chiefs are welcome to contact me about possibly receiving this project at little or no cost, depending on your tribes needs and available resources. I am homeless and penniless myself, so I understand we are living in troubled times. All my relations. PEACE
