Saddle clamp/PVC pipe antenna mast mount

Saddle clamp/PVC pipe antenna mast mount

I bought an open-stub J-pole antenna from a fellow ham radio enthusiast and it lacked a mast mount. I live in a condo, so my antenna mount consists of a bucket of cement and a 1/2" PVC pipe 'mast'. I took tonymtsai's clamp and added a bit of width to it for additional stability and overall just made it 'beefier' to handle the stress of the antenna. The mount in its current design is sized for M8 bolts using 16mm OD washers. The pipe OD is 22mm. You will want to measure your pipe and change this if necessary. My pipe was actually 21.8mm, but I rounded it up to give myself some wiggle room and to allow for the camo tape I have covering the pipe. Updated 10/19/16 with a few changes to the OpenSCAD code Print Settings Printer: MakerFarm Pegasus 8 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 50% Notes: I printed this to be super strong - probably stronger than necessary. I used PETG as it will be exposed to the elements and printed the first 25 layers (the base where the bolt holes are) solid with 4 perimeters.
