SAE Efficycle - A Hybrid Tricycle

This was done as a part of the design phase for Efficycle hosted by SAE India to develop a hybrid tricycle. The main intent was to make the vehicle as safe as possible for on-road use in addition to performance needs. Some salient features being under-seat steering system inspired from trikes, independent Pedaling System with electric assist, a payload carrier and aerodynamic styling with a sportive posture. The material chosen for the chassis was Aluminium 6061 T6 for a light weight design but safety and rigidity of the chassis was not compromised.But due to some unforeseen difficulties the project was delayed for presentation and hence wasn't able to go through further stages. Nevertheless it was a good experience.Modelled in Solidworks 2013, Rendered in Keyshot and Post-processed in Photoshop.The work was a collective effort of 10 members (Team ALACRITASof SNU), with Design/modelling of chassis being my contribution. P.S.: Do not mind the absence of sprocket chains :P
