Safety box for fish hook on rod

My eleven-year-old is interested in fishing and suitably cautious about the hook, which he leaves attached to the rod. I remixed a buckle box to add pins to catch a hook and holes for the rod to go through. I'm pleased with the design of the source box; it closes securely over the rod and stays in place. We'll see how it stands the tests of time and kids.
