Do you Ever want to put on safety glasses when you work but also want to keep a pencil behind your ear? Ever find yourself juggling a mini maglite under your chin, the pencil behind your ear, and the glasses flopping around on your face? I often do and set out to invent an easy clip system to do everything, hold it all AND make life in the shop easier. I employed magnets and built an attachment system to hold both a pencil and a small LED in place on ones glasses. Instructions Mostly if you print these objects flat then they will work with out much fussing. The neodymium magnets were measured at .33 inches in diameter and are a good strength for this application. The set skrew is sized 2/20 but could be numerous sizes. The flashlight was the hardest part. The shell that I have uploaded with the conduit works well with the led and led holder out of a Christmas lights set. It is round, and the LED's are long lasting. The batters used are LR94 button cell sized. These are small and long lasting. I used a ruffled bobby pin as my connector, housed in the conduit-- it fit well and a small springed contact plate style switch from an old pocket sized lite turns it on and off with ease. These models are mounted on the classic glasses frame from Mcmaster (http://www.mcmaster.com/#safety-glasses/=psae14) using two part epoxy. 3 shells, 20% infill. Both PLA, or ABS work well. this thing was created on a Makerbot Replicator 1.
