This is a safety latch to secure a cabinet or drawer.

Note: A safety latch is only a deterrent. Young children need to be watched at all times. Use of these latches is at your own risk. They work for me, but the files and instructions are supplied without any warranties or guaranties as to usability or risk.

Print Settings

Printer:

Anycubic Kossel Delta Plus

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

100%

Filament:
3D BestQ PETG
White

Notes:

The stl's will print as oriented. The clip requires support set to the build plate. I used a zig-zag pattern and turned the clip so that the zig-zag is across the width of the clip. I printed with a brim to prevent warping and hold everything in place while printing.
PETG was selected for strength and flexibility.
Post-Printing

A little sandpaper on the latch prong, to remove the layer lines, will quiet the scraping noise of the latch when it engages the striker.

Install in orientation shown. Latch should fully engage striker when locked. To unlock press latch down to disengage from striker.

I attached the parts using 1/2 inch #6 wood screws.

Category: Household
