Sage / Breville Tamperstation for 54mm Duo Temp Portafilter

Sage / Breville Tamperstation for 54mm Duo Temp Portafilter

thingiverse

Designed this Tamperstation for my 54mm Portafilter of the Sage Duo Temp Pro as I feared that compressing the coffee into the filter just as it is might either someday ruin the kitchen counter or the filter outlets. It fits the Sage / Breville portafilter just fine with a tiny bit of play to all sides for comfortable use. As I figured on the Sage website, this might as well fit the portafilters of other Sage / Breville portafilters as they seem to always use the same-sized ones except for the Bambino which might as well fit (depending on the positioning of the two outlet nozzles). Portafilter rests completely unsupported in this tamper station and doesn't require you to hold it while compressing down on it. Can obviously also be used as a level stand while scooping in your ground coffee in case you do not use a grinder and funnel anyways. PLA seems to bear the applied forces of approximately 20kg pressure and potential heat just fine, hardcores might want to print in PETG for weapon-grade force applied to ground coffee. Concerning the filter itself, pressure is applied and distributed on the rather flat steel bottom and nowhere that seems too delicate to press down on.
