SAIC Sound Dept. Amp Kit Enclosure

thingiverse

This is an enclosure for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Sound Department's 1/2 Watt Amp Kit. This enclosure can be used standalone or mounted to another piece of equipment. The lid is press-fit, and stays in place because the 3D printed layers grip each other. There are also plans to create another version of the lid with a built-in speaker. Need a knob for your amp? Look no further. Or keep looking, either way. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: Minimal supports for the panel holes. Post-Printing Make sure to clip all the electronics leads before inserting board into enclosure! The board needs to be pivoted into the enclosure. Insert the edge of the board that has the pot, switch, etc. first, then work the board flat into the box. It should go pretty easily. You can then insert (4) 1/4" x 6/32 flathead self-tapping screws into the 4 countersunk holes on the bottom. These should match up with corresponding holes on the battery case.
