A printable tiara, necklace, and earrings set for a Sailor Moon costume. They were designed at the last minute for a costume party the next day. All parts were designed with Blender for printing on a Thing-O-Matic. Instructions You'll need a few extra bits and pieces to complete the pieces, and the earrings require a little bit of basic jewellery making know-how, but nothing too complicated! Materials required: Yellow PVA filament (or gold if you have some) Elastic thread Gold thread (or any light colour, I used a pale cream/yellow) Length of red ribbon 4 small gold beads Red sharpie marker (or other make of permanent marker with small tip) Necklace: This is the easiest bit, just print out the half moon and thread it onto a piece of red ribbon. Tie the ribbon at the back of your neck and you're done. Earrings: You'll need 4 small gold beads, some thread and two earring findings. Print two copies of the earring file and then string together the earring by first threading on the half moon, then the beads (using knots to keep them in the right place), then the earring findings. Tiara: A very useful feature of the coloured PVA is that it has a lower melting temperature to the regular plain plastic, and so you can mould the shape a bit after you take it off the build platform. That's how I got the tiara to fit exactly to my head. The trick is just to catch the plastic at the right moment where it's cool enough to touch comfortably, but still flexible. WARNING: Do not put on your head straight from the build surface! So to make the tiara, print out the file, take it off the build surface and allow to cool just enough then hold it in place on your forehead for a few seconds while it hardens. Tie some elastic thread through the holes to hold it onto your head. Then simple colour in the central oval with a red sharpie (you could also use air-fix paints, but a sharpie is much simpler and less messy). Hair: A quick additional on the hair. I used my own hair for the buns and clip-in extensions for the long pigtails. For the red circles in the hair I put red buttons on the end of a metal hair grips and pushed one into each bun. I had plenty of buttons so just painted two bright red with air-fix paints, but I do have a 3D-printable button you could use here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13315
