*Critical Update! 06/13/2020* Adjusted the layout of the gantry wheels/ spacers to work properly. The spacer block size was changed due to this. see picture. *Update 06/07/2020* Ive fleshed out the placement and sizing of the parts and added a backplate on the backside of the wheels to sandwich them for better support. (Thanks Andreas from the openbuilds facebook group for the suggestion!) Overview ------------- Working on a stronger gantry for the sainsmart 3018 prover to allow for mounting of a standard spindle/router. A lot of these parts are available on openbuilds shop page. However some need to be sourced elsewhere, and some need fabricated. Will keep updating as well as give a full/proper write up when its done. Software Changes -------------------------- New lead screws are a 4 start, so change $101,$102,$103 from 800 to 400 Also with a heavy spindle, be sure to enter $1=255 to keep the stepper motors powered to avoid slippage of the lead screws. Parts -------- Working parts list, this is not 100% complete but its a start.. I dont have all the screws here, there are varies m5 lengths you'll need.
