Salt Cellar w/ lid

Salt Cellar w/ lid

thingiverse

This salt cellar provides quick access to a pinch or spoon of salt when preparing food in the kitchen. For use with larger grain salt like kosher or sea salt, not table salt. Larger grains make it easier to meter out by hand. The lid is just meant to rest loosely on top to keep dust etc out, and has a sort of chamfer around the edge so that it self-centers. Print Settings Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Notes: I printed this in PETG (eSun blue semi-transparent) I prefer the surface finish of a top layer on my printer, so I print the lid with its top surface facing up, which requires support material. If you prefer the surface finish your print bed gives, then you can flip the lid upside down, which should not require supports. Post-Printing I tried to color in the text of the lid with black, but it was much more difficult to see than I expected. If I did it again, I would probably try a white paint pen for better contrast. How I Designed This Designed in OpenSCAD, the "salt" text is uses my parametric font: Circular Logic
