This is a cap for the Samsung Fit Plus USB flash drives. It does not come with a cap so I had to make one because the sharp corners of the USB plug could poke a hole in my hardshell jacket if I put it on my keychain. And with the side mounted lanyard hole it would be held AT AN ANGLE!. Can't have that.

Has to be printed in TPU. I use SainSmart, which is pretty hard but gives a nice press fit.

There are two parts. The cap itself and the hook for the keychain. The hook goes in the hole in the cap and sticks out the top. It can be glued, but shouldn't be necessary. The hook can be TPU or normal plastic. I used TPU.

The .step file is included for this as there is a high chance that tolerances will need adjustment. Since it's the cap and not the drive itself that gets attached to the keychain, it needs to have a pretty strong grip. Strong enough to need a good pull, but not so strong you knock out the guy next to you.

The cap holds with the short sides pushing at the USB plug. These sides are curved, not flat. There is also a small hole in the top to avoid a vacuum when pulling on the cap.

With the right tolerance it will be held safe on a keychain. My cap needs about 3Kg of pull to release, and this is easily adjusted. You could also loop a string between the hook, keychain and drive if you're paranoid about loosing it.

Seems like a decent drive for the size. I benched it at 110MB write, 400MB read.
