I used an Xacto knife to shave a small amount of excess PLA in a few places to fit parts together. For the black and red version of this case, before assembling I sprayed the black piece with black plasti-dip for a matte finish and better grip. I used a soldering iron and some extruded PLA filament to weld parts together from the back side of the case where it won't be seen when the phone is in the case.
