Dash mount for Samsung Galaxy S6. This can be used as a stand alone cell phone holder or a smart dash mount. By utilizing the square slot for the placement of an NFC tag the mount gains the ability to launch apps and settings immediately as the phone is placed in the dash mount. In my case it launches an app called Drivemode, which is an app that simplifies the phones use so that the driver never needs to look at the phone to operate it. The purpose of this dash mount overall is to help prevent distracted driving. Note that this design will only fit the phone, not a phone with a case. This is do to the fact that an NFC tag will not work if it cannot touch the phone. I used 30% infill but less could be used to speed up print time. Structural integrity isn't a huge factor in this design. Post-Printing Assembly A 1/4 20 bolt is used to hold the base and arm together. The arm is super glued or solvent welding to the phone holder. The arm and holder could be printed as one piece but due to a four inch print bed this wasn't possible so they were designed separate. The base of the dash mount is fastened to your vehicle by an adhesive of your choosing. Adhesive tabs or double sided tape will work.
