Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Wall Mount

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Wall Mount

I was given a Galaxy tab as a promotional gift and it was destined to be a part of my home automation (domotica) system so I set out to make a nice wall mount that wasn't too large and allowed me to power it up permanently. This is for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7-inch SM-T113) model though it might fit others too. It's in four parts including the backing and the front plates which clip on/off to hide the screws and power cable. It's actually the first thing I modelled and printed (done in sketchup before I got Autodesk so it's a little lame). You can print in a colour that suits your decor but I chose white PLA that's close to my wall colour. The cable I got from dx (http://www.dx.com/p/249067) and I used it because it was the lowest profile I could find whilst being sturdy. I wanted the whole mount to be symmetrical so the L-bend was necessary for me. Screw holes accommodate most small drywall/plaster screws. Instructions Fits snugly so you will want to have your cal in good order, otherwise you could make it 1-2mm larger in Y-axis if yours doesn't fit. Mine is printed in PLA on heated bed with elmers extreme glue on glass. If I were to print on Kapton the front plates would be nicer and really smooth/glossy but meh it's good enough to get WAF. 0.2mm layers at 40mm/s print temp 200C bed temp 60C infill was 25% but could be less (or more if you prefer)
