Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 wall mount

<p>Wall mount for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 tablet. It has a couple of mounting holes intended for use with a one gang electrical box, but I suppose you could drive screws into drywall anchors through them, too.</p> <p>I designed this part to hold an my old tablet to the wall for use with Home Assistant, displaying a dashboard with interesting (to me, at least; jury is still out with my wife) data upon it.</p> <p>There's a cutout intended to route a USB charger cable out of the electrical box to the USB port on the bottom (now side) of the tablet. In my case, I'm running 12v from a (fused) power supply up an extra pair of wires in a CAT5 cable that's connected to the alarm panel that was already on the wall. I took a USB car charger and soldered a wire pigtail to the 12 volt input, getting rid of the cigarette lighter contacts. That all is in the wall behind the 1 gang low-voltage "ring".</p> <p>Printed with just a few tiny support towers on the corners of the brackets on the bottom and top clip.</p> <p>I have included the OpenSCAD source file if you are curious and want to fiddle with it. It is parameterized, so in theory you could change the dimensions of the tablet and have it mostly work. Maybe.
