Samsung Odyssey G7 27inch VESA 100 Mount

I bought a factory second Odyssey G7 that didn't come with the VESA mount, and looking online it would have cost me over $100 Australian Dollarydoos to buy one.......... nope.avi So I took some measurements from the Odyssey's desk stand mounting plate and knocked this design up. Considering the weight of these monitors, I recommend printing this in PETG/ABS/ASA (I would not print this mount in PLA.), with at least 20% infill, at no more than 50mm/s print speed. Layer adhesion is a big factor in the strength and longevity of this part, so a slower print speed is highly beneficial. It only has the VESA 100mm holes as including 75mm holes would have made it really annoying to print, and I doubt a 75mm arm would be able to lift the weight of a G7. The VESA holes are 3.4mm in diameter and should fit 99% of screws that come with VESA monitor arms. Mine bit pretty tightly, and I haven't noticed any slippage since using the print. Also included are four 1/4 inch camera screw holes for mounting things like little webcam arms or phone holders. I have no idea if this mount will fit the larger G7 monitors, or any of the other Odyssey series, so I've included a STEP file for the model so anyone can make adjustments to it to expand compatibility. Please note that this model was designed for strength rather than ease of printing, and requires supports regardless of print orientation. I found it easiest to print large side down with supports holding up the inner ring, and it took around 10 hours to print at 0.15mm layer height on my old Prusa MK3. Changelog: Prototype 2.3 - Initial release Prototype 3.1 - Redesigned for better strength. Basically doubled the thickness, added angular support, and made it a solid ring to resolve flexing issue from 2.3. Added 4x 1/4 inch camera screw holes for mounting webcam arms and other peripherals.
