Samurai Hat for Jumbo Lego DeadPool mini fig

I printed out this Deadpool mini fig a week ago, and when I was looking for reference on how to paint him, I came across an image of him in a samurai hat that really caught my eye, so I decided to make one myself. Print Settings: Printer: Duplicator 4s Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Med Infill: 20% Notes: I tried printing this twice and honestly think the top side down with rafts and supports worked best. Post-Printing: I printed him with blue PLA, which was just a generic PLA I had on hand. Then, I added a white primer spray paint and waited 24 hours for it to dry before starting to hand-paint with cheap acrylic craft paint from Walmart. The result was pretty cool, if I do say so myself. How I Designed This: I used Cinema 4D to create this design. First, I made simple shapes based on the DP mini fig head and added lofts to make the hat shape. Then, using Mograph, I added single blocks to the points to give it a woven look. Once everything was combined, I exported it as an STL file with a boole step, but I had some hole issues that needed to be fixed, so I reversed the normals and finally got it to print without any problems. For slicing, I used Simply3D - now go have fun!
