Sand Scorcher Component Box

Sand Scorcher Component Box

I created a rainproof component box to house the battery and the vital electronics for my buggy. My intention was to incorporate the standard hard shell LiPo battery with the (lighter) electronics mounted at the sides. The intention was to keep the battery and servo in line with the chassis so as to keep the CG close to the center, thus, minimizing roll during turns. =================================== NOTE: This Battery Unit is NOT intended for the Sand Scorcher or Rough Rider chassis using the Torsion Bar Suspension System. I removed the torsion bars of my rear suspension so that I can use shocks that can be adjusted to accommodate the drive terrain. =================================== The top hump accommodates the battery plug so as to allow the top cover to close firmly. My intention for creating a removable dome was so that I can replace it, in the future, with a custom dome that will be able to properly secure the electronics for the lights. I suggest using contact cement (or something else you prefer to use) to keep the dome secure. Likewise, bond the rubber foam to the upper lid to eliminate shifting. Hope you like it. Feel free to modify it to meet your needs.
