I designed this tray after looking at a number of different designs that didn't meet my needs. The objectives were:

Slots wide enough to hold full packs of 50-100 discs

Maximum number of slots that would fit on a reasonable printer bed

Rectangular footprint to allow a few trays to pack together without wasted space

Parameterized design to handle various common disc sizes

The CAD is in OnShape (link below) and is fully parameterized via code in a Feature Studio. Definitions for the 5" and 6" disc trays are already realized there, and it would be simple to add more variables to define trays for other less common sizes like the 2" and 3" discs.

You can print this in your material of choice. I like PETG for trays and racks because of the negligible shrinkage and warp. 0.3mm layer height should be adequate.

OnShape model: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/97f254269dd5df1c53c7543e/w/e9c39e6dbfa7a01e23476fe3/e/15bbfbd933a84bca63529b46
