Sankofa Adinkra Pendant

Sankofa, a traditional West African symbol from the Akan region comes in two forms, the bird and the heart. Each has the same meaning: "The importance of learning from the past." This is symbolized by the bird looking backwards over its shoulder. There are two versions of the bird, one simple and one detailed.
