These are the 3D printed parts used for Earth Odyssey's 3D printed emergency at the Space Mission Simulator at the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee, FL. It includes: Solar Panel Adapter piece Probe Battery Adapter piece PWR link piece This is designed to use Elenco Snap Circuits as a base, they are not included. Standards NGSS CCSS Overview and Background SAT needs power! The solar panel on the SAT has been damaged; students must 3D print a replacement piece before the SAT is launched. Lesson Plan and Activity Use observation and measuring skills to fix the problem The students must work together to inspect the pieces for damage and to measure exact dimensions to 3D print the correct piece for the probe. Materials Needed You need: SIM3 capable probe Elenco Snap Circuit solar panel and battery (can be replaced by 3D printed objects of the same dimensions) 3D printer onboard Sim Computer conntected to 3D printer with these files inside Program to use printer that accepts STL files Filament Ruler Task cards and Inventory Log
