it was easier and sometime cheaper to buy portable USB storage than plain 2.5" hard disk, i often just bought portable USB storage and broke it open for the hard disk when i needed one. the little circuit board for converting SATA to USB 3.0 is actually working fine after the operation. so, instead of leaving it to catch dust or throwing it away, i make a case for it. - good for Seagate Expansion Portable (STEA4000400) - two little screws, M2.5 5mm - hot glue as filler in between the board and case if it is a bit too loose for your taste
