Sausage Roll Tamper Tool

Sausage Roll Tamper Tool

To help press down the pastry in my wife's Sausage Roll maker, a tool was needed to assist. The sausage rolls are cooked in an Anko Sausage Roll Maker, model 5659 (distributed by K-mart). My solution to help my wife set out the pastry is to use a custom 3D printed tamper tool. Before the sausage roll maker is hot, layout the pastry over the sausage roll maker, as per normal process. Now use the new tamper tool to press the pastry into place. The aim is to get the sausage roll walls with even thickness. The tamper is 112mm wide on the base to a maximum width of 38mm at the top. The walls are 12mm high, measured vertically, leaving a pastry gap of 2.5mm. Washing instructions: - Wash in warm soapy water. - Do not immerse in very hot water or place dishes into a dish washer. The high temperatures will cause the plastic tamper to permanently warp. My print is made in PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies orange filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. I hope you can find this print useful, too. Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
