(heroic scale) Fuff: After getting feedback from Void Marines and other armsmen about boarding actions, and multiple reports that the pulse carbine wasn't strong enough to stop enemy heavy battle armor, engineers went back to the drawing board. The quickest solution was to build a new rifle based off an alien rail rifle. The barrel was cut in half so it could be used in tight corridors on ships and space hulks. A reflex scope, enhanced compensator, extended box magazine, and a port for an external power source were added. The new sawed off guass rifle could be easily carried in low gravity environments by Void Marines already in bulky void suits. The accuracy at range of the weapon has been severely degraded, but the rate of the fire and deeper magazine have made up for this in the standard sub 100 meter engagement zone. Crunch: Power supply port on stock is .6mm diameter, so it should fit 23 guage or higher wire inside, so you can run it to your miniature's backpack. this rifle should be reserved for your heros, or your special weapons troops, as it was meant to be a semi-auto rail gun with an endless magazine. I really just needed a weapon to kill Terminator armor / gene stealers in variations of Space Hulk for my rogue trader boarding team, I figure shooting tungsten bolts through them should work.
