Sawstop Guard Dust Collection Blast Gate

Sawstop Guard Dust Collection Blast Gate

Dust collection blast port for the blade guard dust collector. I have a 4" line running to the saw then it's split with Y between the guard (which has a 2.5" line running to it) and a 4" line (with a restrictor to make that 1.5" to balance the suction). So I made this to 1) reduce from 2.5" to SawStop 1.5" port and 2) allow me to turn off the guard dust collection while still running the bottom 4" (restricted) port. I used four (4) 3mm x 16mm screws and threaded inserts in the 2.5" end. You can use 3mm x 20mm screws with nuts if you prefer. I would have gone with 3x20 if I'd had 4 of them, but I had 3x16 and inserts so that's what I went with. NOTE: the 1.5" port was too tight so I adjusted it with a heat gun so it's a nice snug fit. Use at your risk!
