Saxon Burh Hut (on Roman Walls)

Saxon Burh Hut (on Roman Walls)

thingiverse

These buildings are designed for use with 28mm wargames figures and represent a saxon hut of the Alfred the Great era during the viking invasions. It is built against the ruins of a roman wall and was inspired by the musings of Uhtred about London in the Bernard Cornwell's 'The Last Kingdom' series of books. The chapel is compatible with the Saxon Burh fort and buildings elsewhere in Thingiverse. It was printed in PLA but only because it was what I had at the time! (the figure is a 28mm plastic viking from the Gripping Beast wargaming collection, though I did splash some paint on it) Print Settings Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Fine Post-Printing Painting The model is undercoated in gesso, painted in acrylics, and given a coat of matt varnish for regular handling
