Scale Boat with Wave Stand

<p>This is my first design for 3D printing. This boat is a loose 1:100 scale model of a 1987 32' Wellcraft St. Tropez. I made this as a gift and have decided to blur the text on the base for privacy. I designed the boat first, and then wanted a base to display it.</p> <p>The boat sits nicely in the base without any sanding, even tight enough to hold upside down. Ideally I would've printed the waves in blue, but I didn't have any at the time. I've included obj. files for the boat and base if you'd like to put your own text on the base. I used 5.8mm letter height and extruded cut the letters 1mm in, which turned out well. I think it's a pretty neat display and the gift reciever was very inpressed.
