Print in two halves (left and right then glue it)… This will use minimum supports and Layer shift will also not effect the quality

If you have to do the post processing them use draft settings

“Im not good at paint work thats why you will find paint imperfections but the base model is perfect”

For final finish, use fine settings

I used PETG, without retractions that caused stringing but afterwards I used heat treatment to overcome those

Additionally I did some experimentation under Sand Heating

What i did was :-

(1) Took some sand and covering the model completely into it.

(2) Heated it to 70-80 degrees C for about 15 minutes; it helped in better layer bonding and partially removal of strings from the areas where you cant reach.

Note:- It shouldnt be too hot that could warp the model and nether to cold that wont effect the softening of layers… Keep in mind that we have to stop at the verge of being melted.. Heat curing required a little bit of effort and care but the end results will give you (1) smoothness (2) Strong bonding of the layers.

(3) After allowing it to cool at normal temperature I dug did some sanding through Tumbling within the same sand…

It worked for me after spoiling a few models :)… But the final results were awsome and now i use these tricks on nearly ever other printed model and done have to worry about the strength or smoothing…

I hope you find it useful…

Have a great day
