I wanted a building and painting stand for my scale model planes. Searching Thingiverse, I discovered the stand by **esorreta** that was almost like I what I was looking for. I applied some modifications to better fit my needs: - **Longer horizontal arms**: I mostly build 1/48 scale planes so I wanted the arms to be a bit longer. - **Option to use longer vertical sliders**: to be able to use longer sliders if necessary, depending on the model. - **Simpler design of the fixed "saddles"**: for easier printing. - **Thumbwheels with nuts**: for locking the sliders in place (inspired by thumbwheels usually used for 3D printer heated bed leveling). - **Interlocking arms/cross center**: to not require glue. - **Extra holes for screws**: for easy integration with IKEA SNUDDA round rotating board.
