Scalloped Concrete Flowerbed Edging Form

My flowerbed was missing some scalloped concrete edging and I wanted to complete it. I went to a couple of home improvement stores but no body has them anymore. So I made a concrete form so that I could make my own. My print bed is too small to make two humps so I made two sides a left and a right so that it needs to be super glued together. I had a board for a flat base, make sure it's level (I used some lids and rocks to level the board) and I put plastic sheeting on it. I also tried some silicone place mats. Both work ok. Mix some concrete (I used Sackrete) to a peanut butter or so consistency and fill the form to the top. With a small board I leveled it off to the top of the form. I then shook the board underneath slightly to get some air bubbles out and to smooth the top. After about an hour the form can be removed gently so as to not break the brick and it will hold it's form, YMMV. So at this rate, a new brick could be created every hour unless you make multiple forms. Of course you'll want to let the brick harden for 1 or 2 days before messing with it. Then you can pick it up and break off any flashing that may be on it and use it. I used a small piece of wood to sort of rub off the flashing. I suppose you could sort of sand it by rubbing it on the drive way too but be careful not to destroy it as it's still green after a day. Of course, making concrete forms are not new and there are probably better, more natural shapes that could be made, but I was trying to match what I already had. I hope you like it. On the third one, the super glued part at the bottom broke apart so I had to clamp it together while it was setting. Yeah, I should have glued it better. It might also have been a good idea to make some sort of dovetail thingamabob to hold the parts together probably. But hey, this was a temporary form just to make a few, so what do you expect? :-) Yeah, I know, I have a long way to go to make my backyard look nice again. Jesus is the rock of my salvation!
