Early 2014, Diet Wiegman destroyed some of his early work and offered the resulting fragments to artists, challenging them to create a new artwork using a fragment of their chosing. For the exhibition "Scherven brengen Kunst" in Pand Paulus in Schiedam, Aldo Hoeben chose fragment number 103, consisting of earthenware and PUR foam. Accepting Diet Wiegman's challenge, Aldo Hoeben used 100 photos of the fragment to create a detailed three-dimensional scan of the original fragment nr 103, before destroying the actual fragment under the watchful eye of Diet. Only the virtual copy of the fragment remains. This virtual fragment is shown in the exhibition "Scherven brengen Kunst" in virtual reality.
